African hair braiding in Ashburn, Virginia · Knotless braids, box braids, cornrows, locs & sew-ins · Tuesday to Saturday

01 — Who We Are

Mirabelle.B, in Ashburn

A braiding atelier in Loudoun County, working in braids, locs and microlocs, wigs and sew-ins. One chair, one standard, and a finish time we tell you before you sit down.

Meet Mirabelle

Mirabelle's passion for African hair braiding began with a love for beauty, creativity, and helping women feel confident. For her, braiding is more than just a hairstyle — it is an art, a tradition, and a way to bring out the beauty in every client.

At Mirabelle.B, she takes the time to understand each client's style and creates beautiful, neat, and comfortable braids with care and attention to detail. Her goal is simple: every client should leave her chair feeling beautiful, confident, and happy.

01

The Hands

Mirabelle brings more than 7 years of experience in African hair braiding, combining traditional techniques with modern protective styles. Every client receives personal attention from consultation through the final braid.

02

Protective work first

Braids, cornrows, twists and locs are load-bearing, not decorative. Tension is set at the scalp, parts are measured, and nothing is installed tighter than your hairline can carry.

03

A clean chair

Tools are cleaned between clients and the station is reset for every appointment. Children and tender-headed clients are told what is happening before it happens.

04

Who we serve

Ashburn, Sterling, Leesburg, Herndon and the wider Northern Virginia area. Appointments and walk-ins, Tuesday to Saturday.

02 — Our Promise

03 — Design & Materials

What the work is actually made of

01

The Hair

Premium human or professional braiding hair, selected according to the style, texture, length and the finish you want — matched to your own pattern rather than layered on top of it.

02

The Part

Measured, square, consistent. The parting grid is the structure everything else sits on — and the first thing a knowledgeable client inspects.

03

The Foundation

Under a sew-in, the braid pattern decides whether the install lays flat and whether your own hair survives it. We photograph ours.

04

The Finish

Scalp oiled and soothed, hairline untouched, a full mirror walk-around, and a printed care card before you leave the chair.

04 — Our Work

The work itself

Every install is matched to your own texture, not approximated to it. This is the full range we braid — knotless, box, cornrows, Fulani, feed-in, goddess, updos, and styles made for kids.

05 — Who We Serve

Built around how you actually live

The Professional

Six weeks of not thinking about your hair

You book every six to eight weeks because mornings are not negotiable. We quote the real length of the appointment, and we start when we said we would.

On-time appointments

The Loc Journey

A maintenance home, not a one-off

Locs are a relationship measured in years. The hands that start yours are the same ones maintaining them in year three — starter locs, microlocs, retwist, interlocking and repair.

4–6 week cycle

The Wig Client

Custom units built to your measurements

Built to your measurements and density. HD lace, glueless construction, and a natural hairline.

Made to measure

The Bride & Event

Trials, timelines, and a party that runs on schedule

Weddings, graduations, milestone birthdays. Booked months ahead with a trial appointment and a firm finish time you can plan the rest of the day around.

Book 48 hours

Mothers & Daughters

Gentle hands, and the patience to match

Shorter appointments, softer tension, and every section explained before it is touched. Often the reason a mother becomes a client herself.

1.5–3 hrs

06 — The Standard

Five dimensions, every service

Every appointment is measured against the same five things. No exceptions for a quiet Tuesday or a busy Saturday.

  1. 1

    Source

Hair chosen to match your texture and the style you have asked for.

  2. 2

    Technique

Tension-conscious, scalp-first braiding. The method is the product.

  3. 3

    Scalp Health

Every service starts and ends with the health of what's underneath.

  4. 4

    Longevity

Built to hold its shape for weeks of real life, not one photograph.

  5. 5

    Presence

How you carry it when you walk out. The finished feeling.

07 — Why Clients Stay

What you can hold us to

We would rather show you the standard than quote ourselves. These are commitments, not compliments — and every one of them is checkable on the day.

The quote

The price is agreed before you sit down.

You are told the real number when you book, not when you stand up to pay. If your hair changes what the work takes, we say so before we start it.

The clock

The finish time is honest.

A full head runs five to eight hours depending on the style. We tell you which when you book, and we start when we said we would.

The scalp

Nothing is installed too tight.

Tension is set so your edges survive the style. If you tell us it hurts, we take it down and reset it — that is the job, not a favor.

The aftercare

You leave knowing how to keep it.

A printed care card goes home with every install, and we message you at the one-week mark to check the scalp has settled.

Reviews

Read them in the client's own words.

Our reviews live on our Google Business Profile, where they are written by verified clients and cannot be edited by us. If we have braided your hair, leaving one is the kindest thing you can do.

08 — Reserve Your Chair
